Overview
Colorado State University Pueblo (CSU Pueblo) invites applications for a tenure‑track faculty position in Construction Management within the School of Engineering. The role includes teaching, research, and service in a diverse, Hispanic‑Serving, military‑friendly institution.
Primary Duties- Teach 12 credit hours per semester across the Construction Management program, including laboratory courses, using in‑person and online modalities.
- Prepare and present course materials, assess student performance, provide academic support, and maintain 5 office hours per week.
- Develop new course proposals, recommend program modifications, and adjust curriculum per institutional procedures.
- Engage in scholarly activities—grant proposals, conference papers, books or manuals—incorporating undergraduate and graduate students when possible.
- Serve the department, college, and institution through advising, recruiting, committee participation, and community outreach.
$60,200 – $80,000 annually. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications- Doctorate in construction engineering, construction management, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or a closely related field, conferred prior to appointment.
- Ability to teach at least three of the program areas listed in the job statement.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English and proficiency with educational technology.
- Professional certification or license in Building Information Modeling, Building Code, Construction Accounting & Finance, Heavy Civil, Mechanical & Electrical.
- Experience teaching online courses and managing online program delivery.
- Minimum three years of verifiable construction industry experience, including at least one year in the U.S.
- Experience in project management, estimating, or site supervision.
- Experience in heavy/highway construction practice and in incorporating current BIM technologies into curriculum.
