The Pueblo District 60 Innovation Zone consists of seven unique schools that provide educators with the opportunity to engage in challenging and rewarding teaching and learning. The primary responsibility of the Science Teacher is to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The teacher performs instructional and related duties in accordance with District policies and the teacher contract. The teacher also maintains a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.

• Valid Colorado teaching license within 60 days of hire.
• Science endorsement or high qualification through one of the following: endorsement, 36 semester credits in science, passing state‑board exam, eligibility for TiR or alternative licensing.
• Completion of fingerprint‑based criminal background check and clearance by OH personnel.
• Effective English communication skills.

• 3–5 years of successful teaching demonstrated by references, evaluations, and student growth.
• Experience with literacy instruction, Common Core standards, blended learning, AVID implementation.
• Experience in Title I or low‑income settings, Teach Like A Champion strategies, strong classroom routines.
• Experience with STEM philosophies and instructional practices.
