Overview

LSB Industries is looking to hire a Production Engineer for our Pryor, Oklahoma facility. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and serving as a leader within the team, the Production Engineer is the primary lead responsible for maximizing plant availability and capacity utilization (OEE). This role serves as the “Operational Owner” of the assets. The Production Engineer uses technical oversight and cross‑departmental coordination to ensure the maintenance, engineering, and reliability efforts are focused on eliminating downtime and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and communicate risks to equipment reliability and long‑term operability of equipment. Own the Potential Business Interrupters (PBI) process.
  • Coordinate equipment strategies that improve long‑term uptime of the plant, including identification of critical spare equipment/spare parts and determination of their inventory parameters, based on asset care strategy program.
  • Perform data analysis for lost production, correlate the reports with equipment reliability and/or repair frequencies to identify bad actors and work with SMEs to develop measures to improve or replace the assets.
  • Lead or take part in cross‑functional teams, e.g., Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma teams, investigations, or equipment improvement teams.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports summarizing the status of reliability activities and PBI to the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Lead the capital project input and budgeting process for your area of responsibility.
  • Support Gate keeper to develop and prioritize maintenance outage and turnaround scopes. Coordinate with Maintenance & Reliability and project engineering teams for execution of work during outages.
  • Manage the Management of Change (MOC) process for assigned areas.
  • Support Mechanical Integrity (MI) inspection program to own the risk and coordinate strategies for mitigation/elimination of risk, including piping, tanks, vessels and structural equipment. Prioritize corrective actions and follow‑up requirements identified.
  • Responsible for equipment improvement and complex maintenance repairs coordination with third‑party engineering partners.
  • Responsible for Turnaround (TA) scope, including scope development, prioritization, and change management in TA preparation and execution.
  • Participate and engage in T2a and T2b LSB Way process.
