Job Overview
Join One Stop Stores Ltd as a Customer Service Assistant, part of our Tesco subsidiary. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, providing outstanding frontline service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance. Your focus will be on continuous improvement through coaching and feedback, ensuring the store remains safe and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities- I know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
- I actively encourage customers to give feedback via the ‘Have Your Say’ survey.
- I work across all areas of the store—including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines—to meet customer needs.
- I put into practice the training received to work safely at all times.
- I participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- I stay knowledgeable about store performance, understand my role in delivering profit.
- I live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow all policies.
- I clock in and out at the start and end of each shift to ensure accurate pay.
- I keep myself, colleagues and customers safe by following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
- I follow the Think 25 policy when serving age‑restricted products.
- I respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self‑service checkouts and explain actions to the customer.
- I maintain a clean, tidy and organised store, keeping aisles clear of congestion.
- I may be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager.
- I follow all training to keep myself and others safe and to protect the store legally.
- Post Office Duties (if applicable): I will operate the day‑to‑day post office, requiring a Post Office Financial and criminal conviction background check.
