Zim Zee Recruiting is seeking a Quality Inspector for a manufacturing client in Provo, Utah. The Inspector will perform visual and technical inspections of all parts produced ensuring they meet blueprint and quality requirements.

The inspector will also review and audit technical records and certifications to assure products meet customer and regulatory requirements, and report deviations and support preventative measures and corrective actions analysis to deliver the highest quality product.

Skills & Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in Aerospace, Automotive or Medical
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting the following documents:
    1) Engineering drawings,
    2) Technical procedures,
    3) Aerospace specifications, and
    4) Government regulations
  • General knowledge of drawing/data systems and configuration management principles and processes
  • Some CMM Operator experience
  • Working knowledge of inspection tools such as micrometer, caliper, height gauge and GD&T
  • First Article Inspections
  • Understanding of Material and Manufacturing certifications
  • Processing certifications and test reports
  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
  • Capable of becoming an ASQ Certified Quality Inspector within one year of employment
  • Training in Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Six Sigma concepts preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Perform visual and technical inspection of all parts and assemblies produced, ensuring they meet all blueprint, quality, and customer requirements
  • Read and comprehend blueprints and technical specifications to support inspection activities that ensure products and operations meet applicable standards
  • Document and relay nonconformance information
  • Create and adjust inspection plans as required
  • Actively participate in performance improvement teams
  • Ensure that good safety practices are known and followed by all employees.
