Position: Residential Nursing Supervisor at Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT) – Full Time

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Residential Nursing Supervisor at our Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT) program in Provo, Utah, earning $34.76–$44.03/hour
. In this leadership role, you'll oversee nursing operations in a residential mental health setting, support and supervise nursing staff, and collaborate closely with medical and clinical leadership to ensure safe, high-quality care for individuals receiving mental health and substance use treatment.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $34.76–$44.30 DOE and Education

What You'll Do as aResidential Nursing Supervisor
  • Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, Human Service Workers, and other assigned personnel
  • Coordinate nursing schedules, shift coverage, staff assignments, and milieu schedules
  • Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with agency policies, licensing standards, and state regulations
  • Review, maintain, and sign off on clinical documentation, charts, and medication records
  • Oversee medication administration, narcotic counts, injections, and medication monitoring
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, hospitals, and external agencies regarding patient care
  • Prepare admissions, discharges, reports, audits, and required documentation for state agencies
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, quality assurance activities, and admissions committees
  • Provide staff training, in-services, and infection control education
  • Respond to on-call crises and provide consultation as needed
  • Perform group and individual health education and behavior management services
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory of food, medical supplies, and equipment
  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support program operations
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing or medical program
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible nursing experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
Licensure
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Utah (required)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, psychotropic medications, and medication safety
  • Experience with supervision, staff development, and employee evaluation
  • Ability to manage crisis situations calmly and effectively
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
Work Environment
  • Work is performed primarily in a clinical residential treatment setting with appropriate climate controls
  • Regular interaction with clients experiencing acute mental health and substance use needs
  • Duties require periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting
  • Occasional exposure to emotionally intense or crisis situations requiring professional judgment and emotional regulation
  • Requires sustained attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards
  • Frequent use of computers, medical equipment, and electronic health record systems
  • Work involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, clinical, medical, and administrative staff
