Summary/ObjectiveThe Director, Theatrical Publicity, is responsible for managing every aspect of consumer press campaigns for Angel’s theatrical slate and is a member of Angel’s communications team. The ideal candidate will have unmatched national media relationships and a successful track record of directly leading and booking national publicity campaigns for major studio theatrical releases across several genres. This role will be directly responsible for booking national morning and late‑night television appearances as well as securing high‑impact long‑lead national consumer press to generate awareness for Angel releases, complementing the company’s marketing campaigns.

- When faced with roadblocks, mistakes, or unforeseen circumstances, consistently and proactively find creative solutions and/or break down barriers to handle the challenge or complication. (Focus is on creating/building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame).
- Manage national, high‑impact consumer media campaigns for every Angel theatrical release.
- Book national morning and late‑night television shows and secure and manage long‑lead, impactful national consumer stories.
- Proven track record of securing high‑profile media and outstanding, direct relationships with network talent bookers (morning and late night), national magazine editors, and top reporters and editors at national newspapers and leading digital news outlets.
- Oversee Angel’s theatrical publicity agencies and carefully manage agency budgets.
- Directly book national and local press to support theatrical publicity junkets.
- Collaborate with the company’s distribution and marketing managers to build consensus and ensure that publicity efforts are aligned with theatrical marketing campaigns and goals.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language is required.
