The Field Service Representative provides technical support to local and regional sales offices across all technical aspects of Econolite Control Products in Salt Lake City, UT. Complete knowledge of product hardware and software applications, installation systems, and advisory to agencies and contractors is required. Continued training on all equipment, including software, is mandatory.

• Provide advice and information to contractors and agencies regarding Econolite products.
• Proficient in traffic installation at the cabinet level, troubleshooting, and reading technical manuals/documents.
• Assist the sales team by uncovering customer needs, providing leads for follow‑up, and presenting solutions and technical information to customers.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, streamline work processes, and deliver quality seamless customer service.
• Support industry trade events by installing Econolite solutions and providing technical sales information to customers and prospects.
• Train and mentor Field Service Representatives on product installation, troubleshooting, and interpretation of specifications.
• Use sound judgment, reasoning, and logic to execute tasks.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics or comparable work; a four‑year degree preferred.
• IMSA Traffic Signal Field Technician certification (IMSA Level
  2) within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret electronic schematics, engineering drawings, user manuals, and technical documents.
• Fast learner who retains knowledge, applies training, and has prior technical experience in the traffic industry.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows or Mac OS X, Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other CRM systems, and documentation of daily activities.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Must be able to stand, walk, squat, and bend at waist for extended periods.
• Safety‑sensitive position requiring work at busy traffic intersections.
• Required to drive up to five hours a day; lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• May work in various, changing outdoor weather conditions (rain, heat, snow, etc.).

• Extensive business travel within assigned district; occasional travel outside district for area or national requirements.
