What your day looks like You arrive to a clearly prioritized queue, review the job jacket, and verify that all upstream fabrication is complete. With an eye for detail, you set up the cutter to the exact dimensions on the production order, make precise trims, and pass a clean, high‑quality product to the next workstation. Throughout the shift, you communicate any signage or equipment issues to leaders and maintenance, keep your area spotless, and pitch in with neighboring teams when needed.
Schedule- Morning shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
- Swing/Afternoon/Evening shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm
- Mandatory weekend overtime (OT) applies to every shift.
- Read job jackets/work orders and confirm specifications before cutting.
- Cut printed stock to exact dimensions per the production order and priority set by leadership.
- Operate cutting equipment to perform detailed, custom cuts on a variety of printed materials.
- Verify required fabrication steps are complete prior to starting the cut.
- Escalate any concerns related to signage to be cut to management.
- Report machine performance issues promptly to management and/or maintenance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; follow all safety practices.
- Operate a forklift as needed, per site expectations.
- Support other departments and perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Preferably 6+ months of hands‑on experience with cutting and router machines.
- Strong organization and attention to detail; able to manage heavy workloads without sacrificing accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and minimize workflow disruptions.
- Comfort with basic math, including fractions and percentages.
- Ability to pass a basic skills test.
- English communication skills (read, write, speak, and understand).
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one for forklift certification, as required by the site.
- Availability for weekend shifts and overtime.
- Safety‑first mindset; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Creative problem‑solver who can think outside the box.
- Collaborative teammate who contributes positively to our culture.
- Standing for the entire assigned shift.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs; carrying materials by hand, arm, or shoulder.
- Reaching in multiple directions to handle materials and operate equipment.
- Tactile assessment to identify textures (e.g., whether lamination is applied) and distinguish material thicknesses.
- Clear verbal communication for instructions and information exchange.li>
- Active listening and the ability to distinguish machine and plant sounds.
