You’ll start your shift reviewing work orders and reading prints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and material types. After setting up and calibrating cutting equipment, you’ll mark out cut lines, execute precise cuts, and verify results with measurement tools.

Throughout the day, you’ll collaborate with teammates to keep work flowing, perform basic equipment upkeep, and maintain a tidy, safe workstation. Before you clock out, you’ll complete final inspections to confirm every piece meets spec.

• Run and monitor cutting machines and hand tools to achieve exact dimensions.
• Interpret work orders and blueprints to confirm cutting plans and materials.
• Lay out, measure, and mark materials to guide accurate cuts.
• Perform routine maintenance and care for cutting tools and equipment.
• Check finished parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to requirements.
• Coordinate with teammates to meet daily output and deadlines.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area organized and clean.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating cutting equipment or similar fabrication tools (preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow exact instructions.
• Working knowledge of cutting tools, shop equipment, and measurement devices.
• Comfort working independently and collaborating within a team.
• Physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Solid basic math skills for measuring, converting, and calculating.
