Maintenance Controller
Alpine Air Express is seeking a Maintenance Controller to be located at one of its maintenance bases including PVU, FSD, and OMA. The Maintenance Controller is a key member of the Maintenance Team and will oversee all aspects of fleet related to prevention, protection, and recovery, ensuring efficient operation. Responsibilities include overall reliability, maintenance, tooling, and materials availability, managing the best interest of the fleet.

Reports ToDirector of Maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate fleet maintenance requirements with Regional Base Managers, Parts Manager, and company leadership.
- Lead and administer weekly regional fleet conference calls.
- Improve efficiencies by identifying recurring problems and recommending procedural changes.
- Direct and coordinate with Parts department to ensure adequate spares and tooling.
- Procure and coordinate with third‑party vendors for maintenance event estimates and scheduling.
- Coordinate with Flight Operations on aircraft issues.
- Liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Monitor key performance metrics and reporting aircraft reliability.
- Advisory role identifying improvements to Approved Airworthiness Inspection Program.
- Improve Maintenance Programs, ensuring gaps are rectified.
- Coordinate with Materials Department for spares and tooling availability.
- Oversight of daily fleet operations to ensure high dispatch reliability.
- Proficient with technical manuals, Federal Regulations, and company policies.
- Project coordination, implementation, and support as necessary.
- Key point of contact for resources and technical support in major mechanical problems or AOG situations.
- Aircraft & Powerplant Certificate required;
Inspection Authorization Certificate is preferred. - At least 2 years active in a Part 135/121 General Maintenance role.
- Working knowledge of Part 135/121 operations, including records structure & management, maintenance event tracking, aircraft conformity & onboarding, approved inspection programs, vendor relations.
- Knowledge of airframe & engine inspection programs & requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Active listener, effective problem‑solver, able to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience communicating with regulatory agencies.
- High school diploma required; BS/BA in administration or relevant field preferred.
- Effective interaction with people of all levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presenting results to leadership.
- Analytical mindset, writing reports, tracking corrective actions.
- Prepare and provide presentations and briefings.
- Work independently with general oversight.
- Demonstrates initiative.
- Motivated to solve problems.
The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, heat, and occasional noise. This is a full‑time position (35‑40 hours per week) with competitive compensation, benefits, and a 401(k) plan with matching contribution. Physical RequirementsThe employee must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
