Manual QA

Position Overview

The Manual QA Analyst will be responsible for thoroughly testing new features, enhancements, and bug fixes within our SaaS based POS platform. This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of retail workflows, and the ability to think critically about how changes impact real-world store operations. This individual will work closely with both Engineering and Support teams to ensure issues are properly understood, reproduced, validated, and resolved before reaching customers.

• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of our SaaS based POS platform and retail workflows
• Execute manual test plans for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Perform regression testing across core POS functionality
• Reproduce customer-reported issues from Support and document findings clearly
• Identify edge cases and workflow gaps before release
• Create detailed bug reports with clear reproduction steps and expected outcomes
• Validate fixes delivered by engineering
• Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and expected system behavior
• Partner with Support to understand real-world customer use cases and pain points
• Ensure releases meet Rain's quality standards prior to deployment

• 0–2 years of experience in QA, retail operations, or related technical roles
• Strong attention to detail and structured thinking
• Ability to follow complex workflows and identify inconsistencies
• Excellent written communication skills for documenting bugs and test results
• Ability to manage multiple testing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working closely with both technical and non-technical teams
• Retail or POS system experience (professional or hands‑on) preferred
