Position: Office Admin & Bookkeeper for Property Management Company

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Real Estate Accountant to join our team on a part-time who understands the property management and real estate investment businesses. They have the benefit of working remotely on a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate will have expertise in real estate accounting, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in, our online property management software. This role supports our property management and investment businesses by ensuring accurate financial management and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management:
    • Record, maintain, and reconcile all financial transactions related to property management and investment portfolios.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
    • Track and manage cash flow to support business operations.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to our owners.
    • Generate budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to guide decision-making.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Compliance:
    • Assist in tax preparation and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Ensure financial records align with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Software Expertise:
    • Utilize software to manage property accounting and reporting.
    • Maintain accurate property-level records and financial data in Buildium.
    • Proficient in
      Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets for collaboration, data tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the leadership team to support financial strategy and planning.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively about financial updates and recommendations.
  • Qualifications
    • Proven experience in real estate accounting, property management, or related fields.
    • Proficiency in property management software (If you have no experience with the software, you will be trained in the software. We do not use Quickbooks.).
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
    • Proficiency in
      Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets for data management and collaboration.
    • Experience with general accounting software (e.g., Quick Books) is a plus.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of accuracy in a remote environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
