Administrator, Student Wellness

Student Wellness and Facility Services energizes campus life through six dynamic areas—Facility Services, Intramurals, Wellness Programs, Extramural Sports, Outdoors Unlimited, and SWELL Courses—united by a bold vision: empowering every student to live a healthy, active lifestyle. The Student Wellness Program Administrator plays a key role in advancing this mission by leading engaging wellness initiatives across the six dimensions of wellness (Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, and Financial), coordinating events, promoting resources, identifying emerging needs, and building strong campus partnerships.

As a valued member of the Student Wellness professional team reporting to the Wellness Wise/Marketing Manager, this role has meaningful impact on student well‑being and success.

Note:

This is a part‑time position (28) hours per week.

What You’ll Do In This Position Management of Student Wellness Programming
  • Plan and lead wellness programs and events (e.g., Wellness Week, Lazy Iron Man, Midnight Madness) that support holistic student development.
  • Manage YFitness operations and oversee the Fitness Trainer Internship program, including scheduling, hiring, training, and supervision.
  • Develop innovative initiatives that promote the six dimensions of wellness and advocate for student well‑being across campus.
  • Coordinate outreach and partnerships with campus and community stakeholders to expand engagement and impact.
  • Assess program effectiveness, conduct research, and apply current wellness trends and standards to improve initiatives.
Department Marketing Coordination
  • Align marketing and outreach efforts with departmental branding across digital and physical platforms.
  • Oversee website, social media, signage, and overall visual identity.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a student creative team to execute marketing strategies.
  • Build collaborative relationships with campus and community partners to strengthen promotion efforts.
  • Represent and promote Student Wellness at key campus events and orientations.
Required What qualifies you for this role
  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Bachelor’s degree or two years’ work experience in recreation/wellness and/or marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education, Recreation Management & Youth Leadership, Exercise Science & Wellness, Student Affairs or related field plus two years professional work experience in project management and/or marketing.
