Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant

Join Platinum Dental as a full‑time (Tuesday‑Friday) Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant. This specialty assistant will support high‑quality periodontal care across multiple offices.

About

The Role

The Traveling Periodontal Dental Assistant is essential to maintaining consistency, training other dental assistants, and ensuring each location is fully prepared for periodontal procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and prepare patients for periodontal treatments.
  • Assist the periodontist with 4‑handed dentistry, surgical setups, and perio procedures.
  • Select, set up, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Manage and order supplies for the traveling perio kit.
  • Communicate supply needs to each office.
  • Complete lab tasks as instructed.
  • Provide post‑operative instructions.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well‑stocked operatories.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a periodontal or specialty dental assistant; lead‑level assistant.
  • Leadership skills:
    Ability to train other DAs and oversee perio setup consistency.
  • Technical skills:
    Strong knowledge of periodontal instruments, surgical procedures, and sterilization protocols.
  • Organization:
    Excellent attention to detail; ability to manage inventory across multiple locations.
  • Communication:
    Strong communication skills with patients, teams, and office leadership.
  • Regulatory understanding:
    Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
