Job TitleFull-Time Office Specialist
Job SummaryThis position provides in-person support to the CSC student employees, as well as staff. It also provides clerical support to the office staff, oversees that accounting processes are performed properly daily, works directly with the production areas on staffing needs and onboarding of new employees, and is the liaison with several customers and support groups within Dining Services and on campus.
WhatYou’ll Do In This Position Office Responsibilities
- Utilizes Workday scheduling for student employees and coordinates staffing needs with Dining Hiring Office
- Coordinates the onboarding for all new student employees at the CSC. Currently the CSC has 180 student employees.
- Executes student wage increases as provided by the supervisors
- Responsible for hires, terminations, and job transfers for current student employees
- Ensures all student employees submit accurate and timely timecards at the end of each pay period
- Coordinates all labor transfers between areas when needed
- Attends and participates in regular staff with CSC full-time employees, prepares agendas, and takes minutes in meetings
- Oversees the CSC student appreciation activities recommended by the CSC student council
- Including, but not limited to processing special orders, data entry, sorting incoming mail, processing inventory adjustments, etc.
- Hires and trains 1-2 Direct Reports (student) that handle many various office responsibilities
- Helps with common student questions, student meal credits, Y-Time questions, uniform deposits and distribution, student compliance issues, questions on points received or removal, employee locker distribution, certifications and training documentation, etc.
- Answers calls and provides great customer service to individuals and entities from Dining Services and other campus areas.
- Assist with visitor logs and manage card access to the CSC
- Prepares Eatec reports regarding production, inventory, transfers, etc. for decision makers at the CSC
- Supports regulatory compliance by assisting in the lot tracking process
- Using Eatec, ensures CSC ingredients are electronically received properly and transfers out of the CSC are processed correctly daily
- Verifies all open requisitions are transferred correctly in a timely manner
- Participates in end of the month/year inventory checks and ensures documentation is accurate
- Assists in addressing recipe mistakes and follows through on inventory discrepancies
- Creates expense reports as assigned by General Manager

- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a clerical or inventory related role.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in an office setting
