Join Our Team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Epiroc!
The primary responsibilities of a Mechanical Engineer include researching, planning, and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems for Epiroc's robotic unmanned vehicles. Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Conducts product testing and creates models and prototypes. Mechanical Engineers are also responsible for directing and coordinating activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems.
Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Reports to a manager/supervisor. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.

Responsibilities:
- Researching and analyzing data including customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Designing products or systems for robotic control using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles and components.
- Participating in fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
- Coordinating operation, maintenance, and repair activities that optimize utilization of machines and equipment.
- Designing products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
- Evaluating field installations and recommending design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
