HVAC Technician

Overview

Our client, a leading provider of commercial HVAC and refrigeration services, is seeking a HVAC Technician to join their team. As a HVAC Technician, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services department supporting maintenance and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent refrigeration expertise, and effective time management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Providence, RI

Pay Range: $44 H/r

• Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at various facilities.
• Conduct proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
• Install, repair, and adjust control systems used for building HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Work independently, planning routes and managing daily service calls within a designated territory.

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma; 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Universal EPA license and valid driver’s license required.
• Strong refrigeration skills, especially with refrigerant systems and walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Ability to lift and carry loads of 50 lbs. or more, and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and mobile platforms like tablets and email.
