Creative Agency || Founder-Adjacent Head of Growth & New Business

Must be local to Rhode Island || National Expansion underway.

Told By Fire is a first-in-class social media marketing and video production agency specializing in brand storytelling, culture-driven creative, and commercial-quality content as collaborative consultants and strategic partners with our clients.

To this point, we’ve done no outside sales / marketing but have seen 50-70% organic growth year over year via referrals and word of mouth. The machine works. Now we need the right person to drive it.

For Clarity:

We’re craftsmen, not commodity traders.

We build brands and curate culture telling human stories.

We consult but do not compete in spaces like PPC, SEO, and transactional digital marketing.

  • You role solo to start. Boots on the ground builder mentality required.
  • Team and Budget will be yours to manage once revenue supports it.

THE ROLE:

Build and run a high ticket business development engine, from lead generation to client conversion, soup to nuts from the ground up, reporting directly to the founder. You will…

  • Source leads, conduct discovery calls and establish client profiles
  • Discern, refine, and target our Ideal Client Avatars
  • Implement and optimize CRM systems and pipeline tracking
  • Set meetings with business owners (Marketing Director level or higher)
  • Execute geographic / cluster prospecting strategies
  • Manage long-cycle follow-up and relationship expansion

You own introductions, pipeline momentum, follow-up closes, and converting aligned conversations into long-term retainers.

Founder leads high-level strategy pitches, sells the vision, generates excitement and outlines our path and process for collaboration — he doesn’t press to collect signatures.

Performance Expectations

We serve companies ranging from $1M founders to 9-figure enterprises. Understanding how their needs, budgets, and decision-making differ is critical.

Success is measured by:

  • Growth of qualified lead base, relationships established.
  • Consistent Director+ level meetings
  • Establishing Leading Indicator KPI’s, goals and progress metrics.
  • Clean, measurable CRM and pipeline discipline + cross industry expansion
  • Onboarding 2–4 new long-term retainer clients per month

We don’t really do one-and-done creative work. We are consulting collaborators with best-in-class companies who become long-term partners

Current Status + Growth Vision

Local, consistent retainer/relationship clients primarily in RI, MA, and growing rapidly in CT.

Large "National" Clients in Florida, Texas, and developing elsewhere.

Operational Offices in Boston & Tampa are part of the 12-18mo strategy.

As systems scale, this role has a clear path toward potential C-suite national leadership.
