The Sales Account Executive is a client‑facing, outside sales role within an assigned New England region. The position requires identifying and managing client accounts, driving new business, and cultivating existing relationships, with an emphasis on indoor air quality and other environmental laboratory testing services.
Key Sales Focus- Maximize market share, profitability, competitive advantage, and capacity utilization in the environmental analytical services market.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with Eurofins clients.
- Represent Eurofins, clearly communicating services to new customers and markets.
- Identify opportunities and profitable work through lead follow‑up, negotiation, and closing.
- Act as a customer advocate, communicating needs to internal teams and collaborating with management, operations, technical staff, and project managers.
- Meet individual revenue goals and support regional quotas.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships between clients and the laboratory.
- Promote Eurofins Environmental Testing capabilities to improve selling opportunities.
- Provide sales plan forecasts and review credit status of customers before submitting bids.
- Monitor accounts receivable and resolve collection issues.
- Recommend pricing strategies, bid/no‑bid decisions, and Master Service Agreements.
- Build client profiles and assess funding potential.
- Qualify, track, and close leads to increase revenue.
- Report sales activity and update customer databases.
- Develop and implement account plans with specific clients, revenue goals, and objectives.
- Identify key target markets and major accounts; devise strategies to attain market position and maintain profitability.
- Coordinate, negotiate, and complete Master Service Agreements.
- Collect and document pricing information to evaluate profitability and win/loss ratios.
- Communicate customer needs to Customer Service Managers and Project Managers.
- Summarize sales development activities as directed by the GM.
- Enter business opportunities into the Eurofins Environment Testing database.
- Follow up on all outstanding bids, quotes, proposals, and price inquiries.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual issues with GM approval.
- Present Eurofins as a network of labs, not limited to a single geographic region, to improve operational efficiencies.
- Control sales expenses in line with Eurofins policy and GM approval.
- Act as “sponsor” for National Accounts as needed.
- Provide market feedback to facilitate new product and service development.
- Maintain relationships with Eurofins network facilities and monitor operational issues.
- Report win/lose ratios and future pricing strategies.
- Forecast resources and operational planning to Customer Service Managers.
- Assist with sales material development.
- Gather and communicate competitor intelligence.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services in the region.
- Degree in Sciences or related field preferred but not required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of progressively successful sales experience in a service industry.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time, with some overnight travel possible.
- Environmental industry knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with lab functions and terminology is preferred.
- Analytical, planning, and self‑directed capabilities.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Compensation:
Minimum base salary of $70,000 per year plus commission, benefits, PTO, and company 401(k) matching. Salary may be higher for candidates with specific sales experience in environmental testing, such as Indoor Air Quality (IAQ).
This is a full‑time role (Monday‑Friday). Candidates residing within the New England states are encouraged to apply.
