Associate Area Manager or Area Manager - Boston South, MA and Providence, RI – Johnson & Johnson Med Tech – Heart Recovery
Join Johnson & Johnson Med Tech as an Associate Area Manager or Area Manager to support clients and patients in the Boston South and Providence, Rhode Island areas. This role focuses on driving growth for the Impella® product portfolio in a complex cardiovascular market.
Responsibilities- Promote and sell the Impella® product line to established customers (physicians, heart teams, interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and administrators).
- Identify new customer opportunities and lead new‑center activation efforts.
- Create account and territory business plans and build coordinated programs.
- Exceed sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Conduct Impella® development activities to increase market awareness.
- Lead clinical teams that foster adoption of Impella® products.
- Minimum 3+ years of sales experience, with 2+ years in cardiovascular medical‑device sales (Associate level) or 10+ years with 5+ years in cardiovascular sales (Area Manager).
- Proven track record selling into cath labs or surgical suites.
- Demonstrated leadership and motivation of teams to achieve quotas.
- Strong knowledge of interventional cardiology.
- Direct patient support experience and availability for emergent patient care.
- Ability to drive patient outcomes.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight.
- Ability to perform duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations governing the medical‑device industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of cardiology industry experience.
- Established relationships or network of interventional cardiologists and cath‑lab staff in the assigned territory.
- Track record of technology adoption and market development.
Anticipated base pay range: $75,000 – $100,000 (based on experience). The position includes participation in company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) plans, as well as a long‑term incentive program.
