This contract position is ideal for an RN skilled in ICU-level care who can manage patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Current Rhode Island RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience with a 3:1 patient ratio in a stepdown or critical care environment
• Familiarity with managing fresh tracheostomies, levophed administration, stable intubations, mild sedation, and diabetic keto acidosis (DKA)
• Preferably an ICU skillset, although assigned to a PCU/Stepdown unit

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level nursing care on a stepdown unit within a union hospital setting
• Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced interventions and close observation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float as required, with up to three assignments per shift, responding flexibly to staffing needs
• Adhere to union and hospital policies ensuring compliance with patient care standards

Schedule:

• 36 or 48 hour night shifts

Additional Information:

• This is a 13-week contract position
• Travelers will be assigned a home unit but must be adaptable to float as staffing needs dictate every 4 hours
