Floating RN

Advinia Care is currently looking for a Northeast Regional Floating RN who will provide clinical leadership as needed in various locations throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts. The Floating RN position will receive a monthly travel allowance.

• The Floating RN will support our Northeast centers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts
• Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
• Strong communication skills, including troubleshooting care issues, managing difficult family situations, and helping implement new policies
• Proficient computer skills, strong working knowledge of PCC
• Providing oversight and mentoring of newer DONs. Provides in-service education as needed
• Helps with patient admissions, discharges, prioritizing daily tasks and ensuring smooth patient flow
• The Floating RN may be assigned to cover Administrative Nursing openings, in addition to Director of Nursing coverage with a vacancy on an interim basis
• This is not a remote position.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Multi-facility travel within Rhode Island and Massachusetts
• Flexibility within job assignments
• Administrative coverage as needed including Director of Nursing coverage if vacancy
• Medication pass/cart coverage if required
• Education of staff regarding policies and procedures as needed
• Working knowledge of Point Click Care
• Ability to bend, ambulate, lift

• Active RN license that is also in good standing in the state of Rhode Island AND Massachusetts
• Associates or Bachelors degree accepted
• CPR/BLS Certified
• Minimum of 2 years in skilled nursing management/long term care
• Current experience and working knowledge of Point Click Care
• Knowledge of infection control practices
