Manufacturing Trainer – First Shift
Providence, Rhode Island
Full-Time | Onsite
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 (DOE)
This Manufacturing Trainer role supports workforce development, compliance, and safety within a regulated manufacturing environment. The position is hands‑on and production‑facing, working directly with manufacturing teams to ensure employees are trained effectively, consistently, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
The Manufacturing Trainer plays a key role in onboarding new hires, supporting cross‑training initiatives, and maintaining accurate training documentation. This position partners closely with production leadership, quality, and EHS to ensure training programs directly support operational goals.
Primary Focus of the RoleYou will be responsible for delivering onboarding and ongoing training for manufacturing employees, developing job‑specific training materials, and supporting skills matrix and cross‑training programs. Training is delivered through a mix of classroom instruction, hands‑on shop‑floor training, and on‑the‑job learning. Maintaining accurate training records in the Learning Management System (LMS) is a core responsibility, as is supporting safety and compliance training initiatives.
Tools,Systems & Environment
This role operates in a regulated manufacturing setting and requires comfort working with training documentation and digital systems. Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Trakstar Learn (or similar) is important, along with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR‑regulated environments, and safety‑driven manufacturing cultures is strongly preferred.
Background We’re Looking ForIdeal candidates bring 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing training, technical training, or workforce development. You should be comfortable on the shop floor, confident facilitating training sessions, and organized enough to manage training records and compliance requirements. Experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly valued.
