Currently we have a Paint Prepper role open on 2nd shift. The Paint Prepper will prepare crane surface areas for finish paint application.

Essential functions of the position include:

• Load and unload material to monorail/paint booth system using fixtures and overhead cranes
• Operate automated and manual blast equipment to achieve specified substrate surface profiles.
• Minor touch up paint if need to ensure all product leaving the area is cosmetically acceptable.
• Apply decals and safety labels to print specifications.
• Operate material handling equipment to transport product and avoid damage.
• Safety, Security and Environmental:
  • Use equipment and materials properly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area per 5S principles
  • Observe safety, security and environmental procedures
  • Report potentially unsafe conditions/situations
• Follow all procedures related to storage and consumption of Point-of-Use material.
• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.

General qualifications for this role:

• High School or GED
• Minimum of six (6) months related to finish paint preparation experience; preferred in an industrial manufacturing operation
