Job Overview – Personal Lines Assistant Account Manager (Insurance)

Compensation: $45,000 – $55,000/year + bonus

Providence, RI

Schedule:

Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Personal Lines Assistant Account Manager (Insurance) in Providence, RI for our client, supporting personal insurance client service across auto, home, and related lines. This in-office role provides administrative and technical support for policy processing, account maintenance, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities as the Personal Lines Assistant Account Manager:
  • Client Service Support: Assist Account Managers with servicing personal lines clients by handling routine inquiries, policy changes, and account updates.
  • Policy Processing & Documentation: Support new business and renewal workflows, including endorsements, certificates, binders, and policy documentation.
  • Carrier & Vendor Coordination: Communicate with insurance carriers and vendors to request quotes, follow up on policy transactions, and resolve service issues.
  • Account Maintenance & Accuracy: Maintain accurate client records, update agency management systems, and ensure documentation meets compliance standards.
  • Administrative & Team Support: Provide administrative assistance to the Personal Lines department, supporting workflow efficiency and collaboration across the team.
Qualifications for the Personal Lines Assistant Account Manager:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior personal lines insurance or insurance agency experience preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of personal insurance coverage, policy terminology, and client service workflows.

    Skills:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn agency management systems.
  • Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and organized professional with strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
