Client Principal Architect – Digital & Cloud Migration Services for SLED

New England (minimum 50% travel)

Presidio seeks a Client Principal Architect to lead presales discovery, analysis, architecture, design, proposals, and scope‐of‐work creation for State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) accounts. The role transforms customer requirements into outcome‑focused solutions, driving measurable long‑term value through direct engagement with key SLED accounts.

• Drive Digital and Cloud Migration Services Sales. Partner with sales teams to formulate and execute a technical sales strategy for Presidio services—application modernization, development, SDLC, AI, data estate and platform modernization, and cloud migration.
• Understand Customer Current State. Lead discovery workshops to assess customer IT, goals, outcomes, and initiatives across business, technical, operational, and financial facets.
• Technical Account Leadership. Act as technical lead for client projects, oversee architecture and design decisions across domains such as AWS, Snowflake, Tableau, Informatica, and modern data platforms, and advise C‑suite stakeholders.
• Technical Opportunity Leadership. Identify and lead opportunities for Presidio services, create technical solution approaches, coordinate resources, and ensure compliance with industry and SLED standards.
• Practice Delivery Engagement. Liaise between customers, sales, and delivery to ensure alignment, risk management, quality, and formal scope creation.
• Solution Architecture, Design, and Documentation. Analyze client requirements, develop roadmaps, and deliver compelling technical proposals with diagrams and analysis.
• Technical Excellence & Evangelism. Evangelize best practices across solution areas, lead technical knowledge sharing, and pursue relevant certifications.
• Team Engagement and Culture. Mentor team members, drive inclusive collaboration, and uphold Presidio core values.
• Partner Relationships. Build vendor partner relationships and contribute to GTM strategy execution.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Champion process improvements and growth initiatives for presales and GTM.
• Enable Others. Mentor and empower sales and presales colleagues, sharing content and lessons learned.
• Local Area Presence. Attend client sites in New England and Northeast at least twice per month (50% travel).

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (including military).
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years of presales, architecture, design, implementation, or consulting in digital or cloud technologies.
• 5+ years in specific domains such as application modernization, development, SDLC, AI/GenAI, data estate modernization, or cloud migrations.
• 7+ years designing technical solutions for SLED.
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with AWS technologies.
• Comfort leading practitioner‑level, CIO/CTO‑level presentations, solutions demos, and whiteboard sessions.
• Aptitude for consultative presales—curious and creative.
• Growth mindset, willingness to try new ideas, and seek mentoring.
• Collaborative style with diverse stakeholders.
• Expert time‑management and expectation setting.
• Timely feedback loops to leadership.

• AWS Solution Architecture certifications.
• Experience building modern application architectures—microservices, event‑driven, cloud‑native.
• Software engineering or code development experience.
• Experience with AI solutions—LLMs, GenAI (RAG, etc.), agentic frameworks, low‑code/no‑code AI workflow tools.
• Experience drafting and reviewing statements of work (SOW).
• Experience preparing RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and solutions.
• Experience with GCP and Azure cloud technologies.
