Databricks Data Engineer - Manager – Consulting – Miami. EY is seeking an experienced Manager of Data Engineering to design, implement, and scale cloud analytics solutions with Databricks.

• Lead workstream delivery and ensure quality in all processes.

• Lead design and development of scalable data engineering solutions on Databricks and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Oversee architecture of complex cloud analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with clients to understand analytics needs and deliver tailored solutions that drive business value.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle, implementing best practices in governance.
• Drive end‑to‑end data pipeline development, including ingestion, transformation, and storage using Databricks and cloud services.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, conveying complex data concepts and progress.
• Manage client relationships and expectations, ensuring high satisfaction and engagement.
• Stay abreast of latest trends in data engineering, cloud computing, and analytics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience managing and delivering projects effectively and building client relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field;
  Master’s preferred.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in data engineering, focusing on cloud solutions and analytics.
• Proven expertise in Databricks and Spark for big data processing.
• Strong background in data architecture and design, building complex cloud analytics solutions.
• Experience leading and managing teams, mentoring talent.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or SQL.
• Excellent problem‑solving and independent team skills.
• Strong communication and client management skills.

• Strategic leadership: align initiatives with organizational goals.
• Project management: manage multiple projects and teams on time and within scope.
• Stakeholder engagement: engage executives and understand needs, presenting solutions.

• Data Warehouse Modernization: oversaw modernization of a legacy warehouse to a cloud‑native architecture.

• Experience with advanced data analytics tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications.
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data services.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools.
