Location: Smithfield, RI / Providence, RI

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL/Informatica Specialist with 7–10 years of hands‑on experience to support a strategic data modernization initiative for a client in the Financial Services sector. This role will focus on redesigning, optimizing, and validating ETL pipelines as the client transitions from legacy data systems to a modern SQL Server–based environment. The ideal consultant will possess strong technical expertise, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

• Redesign and modernize ETL pipelines to transition data workflows from Sybase to SQL Server.
• Analyze existing Informatica ETL jobs and update source and target configurations based on new architecture.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout ETL execution cycles.
• Optimize ETL performance to support large‑scale data processing and reduce load times.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and recovery mechanisms within ETL workflows.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure transformation logic aligns with updated database schemas.
• Validate ETL outputs against business requirements, regulatory standards, and legacy datasets.
• Utilize scheduling tools (e.g., Control‑M) to manage and coordinate data load processes.
• Support performance tuning and integration activities related to SQL Server.
• Contribute to documentation, best practices, and knowledge transfer within the project team.

• 7–10 years of experience working with ETL tools, with strong expertise in Informatica.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL Server, including integration techniques and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star schemas, fact/dimension modeling, and data quality principles.
• Experience with enterprise workload scheduling tools such as Control‑M.
• Demonstrated success analyzing and re‑engineering complex ETL jobs in large‑scale environments.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with meticulous attention to data accuracy and system reliability.
• Experience working in consulting or other client‑facing roles preferred.
• Experience migrating or modernizing ETL pipelines from legacy RDBMS systems (e.g., Sybase).
• Familiarity with Financial Services data domains (e.g., transactions, risk, operations, regulatory reporting).
• Knowledge of best practices in data governance, metadata management, and production support.

Pay Range Minimum: $85,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $176,000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies.
