Risk Management Systems Solution Architect

Responsibilities- Design and oversee migration of U.S. risk‑management application from on‑premises to PaaS (Azure US East, Azure West Europe), ensuring data residency, confidentiality, and compliance for U.S. and Federal client data, including attachments in U.S. sovereign cloud.
- Ensure high availability, security, and compliance with global and regional regulations.
- Develop integration strategies with enterprise applications and data consumers (e.g., Salesforce Sales cloud, Azure Data Lake, internal KPMG systems, Federal Cloud), utilizing APIs and middleware for seamless data exchange.
- Collaborate with global and U.S. technology teams, business stakeholders, and risk‑management groups to align solutions with organizational objectives, adhering to KPMG's security, privacy, and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, Section 7216).
- Provide architectural guidance to development teams, lead design reviews, and mentor junior architects; maintain architecture diagrams, integration blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Implement and validate controls for data access, retention, and residency (RBAC, encryption, audit trails, access reviews); lead performance testing and mitigation planning to ensure optimal user experience for U.S. users accessing globally hosted applications.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum five years of recent solution architecture experience with strong cloud and integration experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred;
Microsoft Azure Architect certifications preferred. - Expertise in PaaS environments (Azure preferred) and enterprise and risk‑management applications.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, integration patterns, and security principles.
- Experience with global and regional compliance requirements; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across global and U.S. teams; experience working with offshore teams.
- Demonstrated experience in risk‑management and compliance platforms preferred; prior experience with APIs and middleware (e.g., Mule Soft) preferred; familiarity with Agile and Dev Ops methodologies.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship.
