Job DescriptionOur client located in Cranston, RI has an immediate opening for a Salesforce Architect to join their team. The Salesforce Architect will assist in the implementation of the Certified Payroll Salesforce implementation including management and oversight of Salesforce implementation, deployments, maintenance and support operations. The Salesforce Architect will assist in collaborating with leadership, vendor implementors, project teams to review technical architecture of proposed Salesforce solutions, enforce best practices and standards, and adherence to policies and protocols.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure business requirements, project deliverables, and expectations are being met as defined.
- Oversee the proposed architected solutions to ensure it is developed in a way that best leverages the capabilities of the Salesforce platform.
- Participate in technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with agency business objectives; identify gaps or variances from requirements.
- Adhere to predefined coding standards and make recommendations where needed.
- Lead code reviews during project to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed.
- Lead overall data migration work, including the following:
- Data migration from current system (Informix)
- Design and develop file sharing solution with 3rd party
- Design and develop data sharing solution for information lookups
- Work with the system implementor on technical delivery of any approved and required custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation.
- Works under the administrative direction of the Senior Leadership and the Project Management team assigned to the project, with considerable latitude for the exercise of initiative and independent judgement.
- Work is subject to review through consultations and written reports for satisfactory performance and conformance to established policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a closely related field such as Business Management or Public Administration supplemented by completion of specialized information technology and research training courses.
- 5+ years of Salesforce CRM experience as an architect, or a combination of architect and implementor utilizing Public Sector Solutions cloud.
- Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce product suite.
- Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions.
- Understanding of best data migration practices for large data sets and best practices for migration.
- Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations and how these work into platform architecture.
- Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth).
- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems.
- Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL).
- Expert-level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable the achievement of the desired business outcomes.
- Ability to identify best practices for integrations and tool sets.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect is preferred.
