Summary
The Patient Access Supervisor reports to the Patient Access Manager and is responsible for supervising patient access activities, including integrated scheduling and pre‑registration, to ensure efficient operations and high‑quality care.

- Supervise assigned staff, interview prospective employees, recommend selection, develop daily work schedules, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ensure staff competence in customer relations and patient confidentiality through training and ongoing assessment.
- Assist in planning and directing initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
- Collaborate with the Ambulatory Patient Access Manager, Medical Director, and others to enhance patient safety and reduce adverse outcomes.
- Promote teamwork and employee participation in problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Monitor operations, recommend and implement process improvements, and update policies as needed.
- Oversee scheduling, template build, insurance documentation, referrals, verifications, and authorizations.
- Maintain and repair equipment, manage inventories, and address service delays.
- Develop and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders, patients, families, and external vendors.
- Participate in quality improvement teams and practice‑related clinical department meetings.
- Oversee the referral process and address quality control issues.
- Provide ad‑hoc support to staff and perform additional assigned duties.
- Thorough knowledge of outpatient care services, referral process, and insurance verification.
- Strong computer skills, including use of electronic health records, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- Excellent managerial skills, including coaching and mentoring.
Prefer five years overall experience in outpatient services, customer service, and registration processes, preferably in a large, complex health organization. At least three years of supervisory experience.
Supervisory ResponsibilityUp to 40 full‑time equivalents. Work is performed in a typical medical office setting requiring extensive sitting, standing, and walking.
CompensationPay range: $53,060.80 – $87,547.20.

Work Information- Type: 40 hrs, rotating every other weekend & holiday (Week 1: Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat; Week 2: Sun, Wed, Thu, Fri).
