Overview
We are hiring a Nursing Scheduler to join our dynamic care team at Summit Commons Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Providence!
Monday-Friday schedule, 40 hours per week. $25 - $27 an hour.

Responsibilities- As the scheduler, you ensure that staffing levels of the nursing department are maintained in accordance with facility budget and protocol.
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all nursing staff schedules.
- Develop or utilize a master schedule at all times.
- Post staffing schedule 2-4 weeks in advance, minimum.
- Identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, and communicate to DNS and/or Administrator.
- Update and prepare payroll in ADP for the Corporate Bookkeeper on a daily/weekly basis.
- Maintain daily staffing sheets and DPH required staff sheet.
- Seek opportunities to fill open positions in a manner which limits overtime.
- Develop positive relationships with members of the nursing department.
- High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical work. On-the-job training provided in scheduling.
- Preferably a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), but not required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills and mathematical ability.
- Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents and staff based on their maturity level.
- Proficiency in written communication.
