SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Director, the Clinical Social Worker provides comprehensive clinical services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This includes the evaluation and treatment of patients presenting with a wide range of psychiatric and physical/environmental stressors, using a full range of therapeutic interventions, including evaluations, individual, family, and group psychotherapy. The individual also reports to the Director regarding professional standards, regulatory and licensing requirements, credentials/privileges, and continuing education.

- Provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and mental health evaluations.
- Participate in treatment planning to set therapeutic goals in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Execute the treatment plan goals as they pertain to the therapeutic aspects of patient/family care.
- Complete all required documentation in a professional and timely manner, as assigned.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families/guardians regarding diagnosis, treatment interventions and recommendations as relevant.
- Conduct clinical case management to coordinate and collaborate in care with the multidisciplinary team and community supports.
- Participate in service‑related meetings, including team meetings, clinical conferences, staff meetings and in‑service sessions.
- May participate in research or other specialized activities as arranged with the supervisor.
- Attend staff meetings and meet all related responsibilities.
- Demonstrate conduct that exemplifies the professional Code of Ethics.
- Attend supervision as required.
- May provide supervision of social work/counseling students, as assigned. This includes:
- Providing reliable, high‑quality supervision of trainees, as assigned and appropriate.
- Participating in teaching of trainees, as assigned and appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in any human services field (social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology) from an accredited graduate school.
- Current independent license from the State of Rhode Island (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns at each step of the care process.
- Significant experience and/or training working with children, adolescents, and families.
Pay Range: $66,397.24 - $
