Primary Function
Supervises and is responsible for data collection and analysis for assigned studies. Manages daily activities of a research project.
Responsibilities- Follow study protocols regarding patient care issues.
- Implement procedures needed to achieve project goals.
- Train and supervise staff on tasks or projects.
- Provide progress reports to supervisor.
- Recruit subjects for research studies.
- Carry out data collection and analysis as assigned by the principal investigator and project director.
- Safeguard the rights and confidentiality of human subjects.
- Handle data collection, coding, processing, and analysis under supervision.
- Draft reports as needed.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the research project.
- Establish and maintain systems for tracking subject follow-up appointments.
- Prepare slides, graphs, and visual presentations for conferences.
- Use and maintain research systems according to procedures.
- Register patients in the hospital information system for download.
- Schedule appointments with appropriate coding.
- Assign correct service codes for billing.
- Maintain provider schedules.
- Generate reports from the system as needed.
- Follow risk management, infection control, and safety policies.
- Attend required training and education sessions.
- Follow hospital policies, principles, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to Butler Hospital’s service standards.
- Education: MA/MS in behavioral sciences or related fields; BA/BS with relevant experience also acceptable.
- Experience: Minimum six months in psychiatric/substance abuse or related research; managing people skills preferred.
Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday.
