Job DescriptionThis position provides high‑level, comprehensive pre‑ and post‑award management and financial services to Applied Mathematics faculty, staff, and students. The Grants and Financial Manager supports research management, including budgetary and financial planning and analysis, research administration, payroll reconciliation, purchasing oversight, account management, coordination of effort certification, salary reallocations, costings, and financial planning of sponsored awards.
This position is hybrid‑eligible.
Education and Experience- A bachelor's degree is required, plus 5 to 7 years of financial and budget experience, preferably in an academic setting or equivalent.
- Direct experience in financial management (budget management, reporting, financial modeling, analysis) and policy implementation; experience with research administration and familiarity with relevant policies and procedures. Experience managing staff is preferred.
- Grant accounting experience is required.
- Experience using Huron or similar research administration software is preferred.
- Proven accounting skills—including the analysis and reconciliation of accounts—are required.
