Under general supervision of the Producing Director, the Stage Manager mounts the play from pre-production through the rehearsal process and the run of the show according to the LORT/AEA Agreement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervises other members of the Stage Management team, including Assistant Stage Manager, Production Assistant, and Production/Stage Management Apprentice.
- Facilitates pre-production.
- Attend all production meetings.
- Acts as the liaison between creative team, production team, cast members, technical crew, and administrative staff.
- Schedules all rehearsals in collaboration with the director and distributes rehearsal reports, performance reports, weekly schedules, and daily schedules.
- Keeps accurate notes during rehearsal process concerning blocking, scenery changes, props, etc.
- Runs technical rehearsals.
- Calls all performances from the control booth.
- Maintains the artistic vision of the director and designers.
- Creates and compiles the prompt book and master show folder to submit to Producing Director at end of the run.

Education and/or ExperienceThree or more years of related experience and/or training in Stage Management. LORT theatre experience preferred.
Technical SkillsKnowledge of theatrical production practices and procedures.
Language SkillsMust be an excellent communicator with the ability to communicate transparently and effectively across mediums.
Computer SkillsMS Office Suite, G Suite, File Sharing Software (Dropbox, One Drive)

- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period.
