Strategic Proposal Specialist

We are partnering with a highly respected Rhode Island–based architecture and design firm to identify a dynamic Strategic
Proposal Specialist to join their growing Business Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping how a premier AEC firm positions itself to win high-profile projects throughout the region.

This role is ideal for a polished marketing professional who thrives in a collaborative, in-office environment and enjoys blending creativity with strategy. If you love crafting compelling proposals, designing visually impactful materials in InDesign, and contributing directly to winning new business, this position offers both visibility and influence.

Salary Range: $60,000 – $80,000 per year, depending on experience

• Work alongside architects and leadership on meaningful, community-shaping projects
• Play a key role in RFP and RFQ submissions that place the firm on competitive shortlists

• Lead and coordinate RFQ and RFP responses from concept through submission
• Write, edit, and proofread compelling narratives that clearly articulate qualifications and differentiators
• Utilize Adobe InDesign to create polished, visually engaging proposal packages and marketing materials
• Collaborate closely with firm leadership and project teams to support the pursuit strategy
• Assist in interview preparation, presentation materials, and the pursuit of collateral
• Maintain and update project sheets, resumes, and firm marketing assets
• Manage multiple concurrent pursuits while maintaining strict submission timelines

• Experience 3+ years of marketing or proposal experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, or construction industries
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign is required
• Exceptional spelling, grammar, and professional writing skills
• Strong ability to manage deadlines and multi‑phase submissions
• Enthusiastic about working onsite in a collaborative office setting
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and confident, working directly with senior leadership
