This is a full‑time, calendar year, continuing position.
Rhode Island College’s Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD) is seeking a dynamic and data‑savvy leader to serve as Director of Assessment and Accreditation
. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of educator preparation at a mission‑driven public institution committed to access, equity, and student success.
In this highly collaborative role, the Director leads school‑wide assessment efforts, drives continuous program improvement, and oversees state and national accreditation processes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical expertise, a passion for data‑informed decision‑making, and the ability to partner effectively with faculty, staff, and leadership.

Founded in 1854, Rhode Island College is a distinctive regional college personalizing education for undergraduate and graduate students. The college serves approximately 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students through its five schools:
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Nursing and the School of Social Work. The 180‑acre campus is located in beautiful, historic Providence, Rhode Island’s capital, with excellent proximity to the academic and cultural resources of Boston and New York City.
Education: Earned master’s or doctorate in Education, assessment and evaluation, statistics, or related field with relevant experience.
Experience:
- Assessment and evaluation relevant to higher education.
- Educator‑preparation or student learning‑outcomes assessment.
- State and/or national accreditation experience.
- Continuous improvement or program review process to improve curriculum and student outcomes.
- Survey development and assessment strategies for measuring impact and outcomes.
- Leadership and administrative experience.
- Doctorate in Education, assessment and evaluation, statistics, or related field.
- Experience with state and/or national accreditation in educator preparation (e.g., CAEP, AAQEP, state program approval).
- At least three years’ administrative experience at the college/university level.
- Bilingual.
Proposed starting salary: $85,000 - $98,000
