Behavioral Specialist in School - Providence, Rhode

Overview

This position is for a Behavior Specialist and ABA Therapist within a K-12 school setting, located in Providence, RI. This contract role follows the school calendar year schedule, providing specialized support to students across various grade levels.

• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
• Conduct direct ABA therapy sessions to support students with developmental or behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
• Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff to reinforce consistent behavior management.

• Experience applying ABA techniques in educational settings with K-12 students.
• Proven capability in designing and implementing behavior intervention plans.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to maintain detailed data and progress records.
• Relevant certifications or training in behavior analysis or ABA therapy preferred.
