Description
This position is part‑time. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. It follows the school year with opportunities to work in the summer. Applicants who are bilingual are preferred.
A Typical Day for a Teacher's Assistant Will Include- Working alongside the Lead Teacher to create a safe, healthy, structured, and nurturing environment.
- Engaging with children in learning—reading, playing, and having fun.
- Inspiring children to be lifelong learners.
- Partnering with families to nurture and care for their children.
- Showcasing tech‑savvy skills by using an electronic daily‑tracking app.
- Assisting with the accreditation process as well as other quality initiatives.
- Implementing curriculum and assessments.

Learning Center HoursOur learning centers are open between 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday‑Friday. Locations are across Rhode Island. Positions are part‑time or full‑time with flexible schedules available. Benefits vary for full‑time/part‑time positions.
RequirementsWe are willing to train the right person. Our ideal candidate will have experience working with children.
- A warm and friendly personal demeanor.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Organized and able to prioritize and multi‑task.
- Team‑oriented and willing to work with others.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Ability to engage in physical activity with children (walking, running, crawling, bending, twisting).
- Visual and hearing acuity.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- 18 years of age or older (Teen Aide positions are available for applicants 16‑18 years of age).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; bilingual encouraged to apply.
- Must pass national criminal background/fingerprints check.
- Must pass Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Clearance Request (CPS).
