- Ensures that the Early Learning Center and Rhode Island Pre‑Kindergarten have a high‑quality curriculum that follows developmentally appropriate practice, the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards and meets the individual needs of children with all abilities.
- Partners and provides support, knowledge, and resources to educators.
- Assists educators with establishing classroom management, curriculum implementation and assessment.
- Responsible for implementing and submitting all RI‑Pre‑K deliverables—ex. policies, lottery including verification, rosters, calendars, attendance, data systems, student records management, etc.
- Supports and supervises educators with implementation and follow‑through of curriculum, assessment, and classroom management.
- Creates, monitors, and revises Individual Professional Development Plans and performance reviews of staff.
- Provides coordination with Child Outreach and Special Education Teams from partnering districts and RIDE.
- Assists manager of Early Learning Center in maintaining Bright Stars Accreditation and Department of Human Services childcare licensing.
- Attends state monthly Education Coordinator meetings and participates in Communities of Practices as necessary.
- Monitors and supports educators with implementation of Teaching Strategies Gold and Cognitive Toy Box.

Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in early childhood education or equivalent.
- Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) certified in Pre‑K to Grade 2 or the ability to obtain.
- Two (2) years of classroom experience.
- RIELDS training Foundations, Curriculum, and Programs.
- CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain.
- Required DHS trainings.
- Work environment and physical requirements consistent with those of a typical school environment.
- Ability to move about the classroom and building continuously throughout the workday.
- Utilize the computer (20%) of the time and other office equipment.
