SUMMARY:
The Philanthropy Officer of Annual Giving and Pipeline Development reports to the Director of Development Business and Operations. Leads, provides oversight, and assesses direct mail marketing, strategically focused mailings, and pipeline development that generates unrestricted and restricted revenue on behalf of Brown University Health hospitals.
Maintains a strong annual fund program while building a long-term culture of philanthropy. This will be done by developing, defining, and executing a pipeline development strategy to expand Brown University Health hospitals’ network of major donors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Annual Giving:
Direct Mail Marketing:
Produce campaigns for each Brown University Health hospital to retain current donors, acquire new donors, and re-engage lapsed donors. - Solicitations include appeal letters, newsletters, email, and online campaigns.
- Coordinate all efforts to support the annual 401
Gives online giving campaign in conjunction with United Way. - Liaison to internal (hospitals’ Chief Development Officers, Development Communications, Development Operations) and external (vendors such as mail house, designer, list broker) stakeholders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent field. - EXPERIENCE:
Three to Five years of experience. - Experience in direct mail processing, demonstrating knowledge of effective direct mail fundraising processes, high degree of organizational skills and effective interpersonal skills to interact with others both within and outside the organization.
Pay Range
: $63,209.33-$
