• Collaborate with stakeholders to track, measure, report, and evaluate vendor classification status, Tier II program, and related data strategies.
• Identify and attend engagement opportunities to ensure a comprehensive vendor pool.
• Manage, review, and respond to inquiries from various internal channels.
• Maintain and update content on the company intranet and website in collaboration with marketing and communications.
• Identify qualified prospective vendors, including certified non‑traditional suppliers, socially disadvantaged, small, and historically underutilized enterprises, and facilitate introductions with procurement associates and business owners.
• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders to provide consultative support for designing, streamlining, and managing supplier engagement initiatives.
• Assist in developing supplier engagement and innovation training, mentoring, and networking programs with internal and external stakeholders.
• Seek out and execute participation in local events and opportunities (e.g., trade shows, markets, seminars, web tutorials).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Five or more years of experience in supply chain management, supplier engagement, small business support, or data analytics.

• Experience building relationships with business stakeholders.
• Knowledge of BCBSRI business activities or prior healthcare industry experience.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and communicate trends.
• Strong business acumen and political savvy.
• Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals in individual and group settings.
• Strong organizing, prioritizing, and time‑management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage diverse, deadline‑oriented workflows.
• Travel required.

BCBSRI is headquartered in downtown Providence. We support associate well‑being and work/life balance with the following schedules based on the role:

• In‑office: onsite 5 days per week.
• Hybrid: onsite 2–4 days per week.
• Remote: onsite 0–1 days per week. Remote resume may be submitted from Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, or Virginia pending HR approval.
