Home Service Technician - Part Time

Tru Blue of Frisco, Prosper, & Celina is hiring for a part-time Home Service Technician (Handyman/Handywoman/Contractor) to serve the areas of Frisco, Prosper, and Celina.

Role Overview

The Home Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of home repair and maintenance services with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and providing excellent service to homeowners and businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general home repairs, installation, and maintenance tasks with care and professionalism including:

Minor carpentry (doors, trim, framing)

Drywall repair and painting

Basic plumbing (toilet installs, faucet replacement, leak fixes)

Basic electrical (switch/outlet replacement, light fixture installs)

Tile, flooring, and other general repairs

Support home safety and accessibility for seniors aging in place

Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after jobs

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times

Support Lead Technicians as needed

Maintain tools and company vehicle (if provided)

Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and time spent on jobs

Ideal Candidate Profile

Passionate about delivering great customer experiences

5+ years of paid hands-on home repair, maintenance, or construction experience

Proficient in multiple trades (e.g., carpentry, general maintenance, light plumbing, light electrical, painting, drywall, tiling)

Good communication, reliable and respectful in every interaction

Comfortable working independently and within a team

Committed to quality, safety, and doing the job right

Some experience in project estimating or quoting jobs preferred

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and standard tools of the trade

Fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
