Performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on nursing process/outcomes of a variety of medical/surgical and telemetry patients. Makes assignments to licensed staff (LVN, RN) and delegates to unlicensed staff in compliance with current BNE rules in a structured health setting for patients with predictable as well as unpredictable health needs.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or have a Compact license.
• Must have an Associate Degree in Nursing; a BSN is required within 24 months of hire.
• Must have a minimum of two years' experience in specialty areas in a hospital environment within the past three years.
• Must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing.
