Seasonal Neurovascular ICU Registered Nurse

Seasonal Program Requirements- Seasonal PRN status with a full‑time 7A‑7P schedule – program runs 9/21/25 to 4/4/26
- All seasonal RNs must work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period
- May be asked to float to another facility within a close geography based on emergent staffing needs
- Four weekend shifts required each four‑week cycle
- Two holiday shifts required during the 32‑week period (defined by Department Manager or designee)
- Seasonal staff are PRN and subject to first call‑off; there are no guaranteed hours
- Seasonal staff will not be eligible for benefits except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy
- Seasonal staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses
- Registered Nurses in the seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation
- Current employees are not eligible to join the seasonal program for 2025‑26 or to participate as HWS staff
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s) and document care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
- Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical conditions, status, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures; translate complex medical terminology to ensure understanding.
- Guide patients/families/caregivers in non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes; prepare for future self‑management.
- Manage evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance exceptional care.
- Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) credential
- Associate Degree or BSN required (12‑month enrollment, 24‑month completion for associate) with at least 1 year ICU RN experience
- Comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health, and telemedicine coverage
