Traffic Signal Technician
The Town of Prosper is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Traffic Signal Technician. The role installs, repairs, troubleshoots, fabric, and maintains town traffic signals and flashers in accordance with town, state, and federal standards; performs routine and corrective maintenance on traffic division equipment; completes work orders and maintenance documentation in compliance with town policy; and supports safe and efficient traffic operations throughout the town.
Qualifications- High school diploma or completion of GED.
- Three (3) years of experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic control devices or equivalent of education, experience or trade school.
- Must possess IMSA Work Zone Safety or TEEX course certificate.
- IMSA Level II Field Certification or ability obtain with 12 months of employment.
- IMSA Roadway Lighting Level I Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record check and post offer physical agility exam.
- Must possess valid State of Texas Class A CDL Drivers License within twelve months of hire date.
- Hiring range: $54,476.74 - $62,648.25
