* Summary:

** The Concession Stand Attendant is responsible for the operation of the pool concession stand and special event concession stands. This position ensures quality food service, customer service, and safe handling of supplies while supporting district programs and events. Staff must perform all duties in accordance with policies, safety standards, and applicable food handling regulations.

* Work Schedule:

** This is a seasonal, part-time position. Hours and workdays vary based on program and event schedules and will be determined in coordination with the Recreation Supervisor. Work may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

* The salary range for this position is $15.00 - $19.49 per hour. Starting pay DOQ and will not exceed the midpoint of the range
** Essential Duties/

Job Responsibilities:

** The following duties are representative but not all-inclusive:
* Prepare and serve food items, including hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, sodas, and other concessions.
* Package and present food items for service to customers.
* Operate point-of-sale systems, take orders, process transactions, and provide correct change.
* Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
* Prepare, organize, and clean up concession stand supplies and materials daily.
* Provide quality customer service to all patrons and staff.
* Assist with district-wide special events, including setup and breakdown of concessions.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized concession stand.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor.## Qualifications

* Qualifications:

*** Minimum age of 16 years
* Experience in food and beverage service preferred
* CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required prior to the first concessions shift
* Must successfully complete Food Handler Certification and Allergy Sensitivity training
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with patrons and coworkers
*
* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

*** Interest in food service and customer service.
* Ability to perform tasks quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Comfortable standing and working for extended periods of time.
* Excellent cash handling and money management skills.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
* Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols accurately.
** Physical, Cognitive and Environmental Requirements:
*** Ability to respond appropriately to the needs of children under 15 years old.
* Ability to resolve issues related to inventory, supplies, and participant needs.
* Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness of the concession area.
* Ability to function effectively under potentially stressful conditions, including emergencies requiring first aid or CPR.
* Work may occur indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
