Overview

Step & Spine Physical Therapy, a brand partner of Upstream Rehabilitation, is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Prineville, OR.

Responsibilities
  • Greets everyone who enters the clinic in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Schedules new referrals received by fax or by telephone from patients and physician offices.
  • Verifies insurance coverage for patients.
  • Collects patient payments.
  • Maintains an orderly and organized front office workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Convert referrals into evaluations; schedule patient visits; provide customer service and create an inviting clinic atmosphere; make welcome calls.
  • Monitor and influence arrival rate through a great customer experience.
  • Manage schedule, document routing, overtime, non-clinical documentation, deposits, caseload, progress notes, insurance reporting, and clinic inventory.
  • Attend training with Territory Field Trainers and complete quarterly compliance training.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to relate well to Business Office and Field leadership.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, meet deadlines, and work with little to no supervision.
  • Effective time management and presentation skills as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Indoor environment with standard office conditions.
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week; may require some evenings or weekends for events.
  • Sedentary work; constant sitting and computer use; ability to hear, speak, and exchange information clearly.
  • Ability to lift up to 0-20 lbs occasionally; other movements as described (walking, standing, climbing as needed).
